The HSE and National Statistics have published their 2018 Health and Safety at Work summary statistics for Great Britain. 

 Our director shared the key facts with fellow business leaders last week in Cheltenham. The annual cost of new cases of work-related ill health in 2016 to 17 stands at £9.7 billion and annual cost of work-related injury. New cases of ill-health in 2016 to 2017 amounts to a substantial £15 billion (excluding long term latency illness such as cancer) and 15.4 million working days are lost due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2017/8. People are at the heart of every single business in the UK regardless of sector or size. Supporting and raising awareness of fit and proper training and education to support people centred processes is essential to effectively support and a regulatory and compliance framework that benefits and protects its staff.
